Hellmuth Weinrich (born September 21, 1903 in Leipzig ; † February 5, 1989 in Dresden ) was a German engineering scientist and most recently professor of processing machines at the mechanical engineering section of the Technical University of Dresden .

Act

After graduating from the Annengymnasium in Dresden in 1923, he studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Dresden, which he graduated with a diploma in 1928 . From 1929 to 1939 he was department head of Friedrich Krupp AG in Essen and the Krupp-Gruson factory in Magdeburg , which was then followed by a position as a research assistant at the Berlin Navy Weapons Office. In 1931 he acquired the academic degree of Dr.-Ing. at the RWTH in Aachen .

In 1945 he took up a job as an engineer in the heavy mechanical engineering combine "Ernst Thälmann" (SKET). In 1950 he first became deputy head, then later also head of Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz AG in Cologne . Weinrich worked there with Carl Mittag a. a. in the development of the twin-tube vibratory mill, which was further developed into a rotary chamber vibratory mill in the late 1980s. In addition, he worked on the book "Hartzerkleinerung" published by Carl Mittag in 1953.

In 1958 he moved back to VEB Schwermaschinenbau "Ernst Thälmann" as head of department, where he earned services in the construction and development of processing machines . Two years later he took over the chair for processing machines at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the TU Dresden and was appointed director of the Institute for Conveyor Technology and Processing Machines there in 1965 . His students included u. a. Karl Höffl . In 1969 he became a full professor for processing machines at the Mechanical Engineering section of the TU Dresden.
