Helmut Gude (born November 23, 1925 in Düren , † February 3, 2001 in Montgomery , Pennsylvania ) was a German obstacle runner .

Over 3000 m obstacle he was eighth at the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952 .

In 1951 and 1952 (with the German record of 8: 50.0 min) he was German champion over 3000 m obstacle, in 1953 in cross country .

Helmut Gude started for TSV Esslingen . In 1954 he emigrated to the United States .
