Career
Prenner started his career at USV Kirchberg am Wechsel, where he went through all youth teams and already as a 16-year-old won a regular place in the first team. This drew the attention of the SK Rapid Wien talent scouts , who signed him on loan for the second team in the summer of 1999. Although he earned a regular place, he moved to SC Aspang in the summer. Another year later he was signed by VfB Admira Wacker Mödling . For this he played 18 games in the Lower Austrian regional league and another 18 games in the Austrian Bundesliga . Nevertheless, Prenner moved to 1. Wiener Neustädter SC in the summer of 2003 , where he only stayed until winter, as SKN St. Pölten signed him for the Regionalliga Ost .
From summer 2005 the midfielder was again signed by SK Rapid Wien; this time for the squad of the Bundesliga team. There he only made two short appearances in the Bundesliga under coach Josef Hickersberger . Nevertheless, he had his greatest sporting success there when he played 90 minutes in qualifying for the UEFA Champions League in a 3-2 home win against F91 Dudelange .
At the beginning of the 2006 spring season, Prenner moved back to the SKN St. Pölten. From the autumn 2006 season, Prenner played for SC-ESV Parndorf 1919 in the first division . From the autumn season 2008 Prenner played for SKN St. Pölten in the First League, where he signed a contract until 2011, but he moved to ASK Baumgarten in the Regionalliga Ost in the summer of 2009 .
In winter 2010 he joined the 1. SC Sollenau . With this he immediately achieved the championship title in the Lower Austria regional league and thus promotion to the Eastern Regional League, where he acted as captain. In the summer of 2015, Prenner moved to the Burgenland regional league for SV St. Margarethen to his ex-trainer Gerhard Gmasz. After he was replaced in the summer of 2016, Prenner also changed clubs and joined the lower-class UFC St. Georgen / Eisenstadt. However, he only stayed there until winter, because at the beginning of 2017 Prenner moved close to his home, to SV Gloggnitz .
