successes

He was a crew member of Hollandia , which had two victories in seven races, finishing second behind the French boat L'Aile VI . The Swedes also came first twice with the Sylvia and, like the Hollandia, also reached second place twice, but ultimately the number of third places was decisive for the placement, which was three times for the Hollandia and only once for the Sylvia . The Hollandia crew also included Maarten de Wit , Lambertus Doedes , Gerard de Vries Lentsch and Cornelis van Staveren as well as skipper Johannes van Hoolwerff .
