Hendrik Trescher

Hendrik Trescher (born June 10, 1984 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German educational scientist and sociologist . He is a professor of educational sciences with a focus on inclusion and exclusion at the Philipps University of Marburg .

Career

Trescher studied educational sciences , sociology , psychology and social psychology a.o. at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg , the University of Vienna and the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main . a. with Ulrich Oevermann , Rolf Haubl , Micha Brumlik and Frank-Olaf Radtke . He is a qualified pedagogue and sociologist and received his doctorate in 2012 with the text Contexts of Life. Living situation of people with dementia in the home at the Faculty of Education at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt in cooperation with a research project at the University of Vienna.

From 2011 to 2012 Trescher was a research assistant at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and from 2012 to 2018 at Goethe University Frankfurt. From 2013 to 2015 he represented the professorship for special education at the Goethe University and in 2018 the professorship for general rehabilitation and integration education at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg . With the font Inklusion, which was awarded the research prize of the German Interdisciplinary Society for the Promotion of Research for People with Mental Disabilities . In order to deconstruct barriers to discourse participation in the context of leisure and disability , he received his habilitation in 2014 at the Goethe University Frankfurt and received the venia legendi for educational sciences .

Trescher has been Professor of Education with a focus on inclusion and exclusion at the Philipps University of Marburg since 2018 . He researches and teaches on the topics of inclusion , spatial and group-related processes of participation , political participation of people with disabilities, pedagogy for cognitive impairments ( intellectual disability and dementia ), methods of qualitative social research, social science fundamentals of special education, disability studies , subject genesis in context of disability, discourse research / discourse participation processes in the context of marginalization. Trescher has been developing the theorem disability as a practice since his habilitation . Inclusion as a criticism that understands disability less as a characteristic inherent in a person and more as an ongoing practice. Inclusion in this context is the process that goes against disability.

Trescher led regional and national research projects and is a reviewer for various specialist journals and associations.
