Hendrik von Kuenheim

Hendrik von Kuenheim (born May 24, 1959 in Hanover ) works at the BMW Group as Senior Vice President Asia , Pacific and South Africa . In addition to his role as Regional Manager Africa , Russia , Import Markets Eastern Europe and the Middle East, he is currently responsible for the Asia / Pacific region.

life and career

Hendrik von Kuenheim is the son of Eberhard von Kuenheim and Theda, née Camp von Schönberg.

After completing his training at the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Munich, he obtained a diploma in hotel management for finance and administration in the field of hotel management in Munich in 1983 and a diploma in hotel management from Cornell University , Ithaca in 1985 . He joined BMW in San Francisco in 1985 as a trainee in sales . In 1986 he was transferred to Long Beach as Port Operations Manager , where he oversaw vehicle dispatch. After a time as sales manager in the American Midwest ( Los Angeles , Cincinnati , Chicago , 1986–1990) and as sales manager for international fleet business in Munich (1991–1993), he moved to the United Arab Emirates . After the first Gulf War , he supported BMW in Dubai as head of the sales region for expanding a presence in the Middle East (1994–1998). He then took over the management of BMW Canada (1998–2004) and then BMW Spain (2004–2007).

Since 2008 von Kuenheim has headed BMW Motorrad .

In 2012, he was elected Senior Vice President of the Asia, Pacific and South Africa Region, Munich. Since February 2019 he has been responsible for the Asia / Pacific region in addition to his role as Regional President Africa, Russia, import markets Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

Von Kuenheim is married, has two children and lives in Munich .
