Henijiwka ( Ukrainian Геніївка ; Russian Гениевка Genijewka ) is a village in the center of the Ukrainian Oblast Kharkiv with about 2700 inhabitants (2001).
The village, which was founded in 1666 as a Cossack settlement , is the administrative center of the 55.743 km² district council of the same name in the east of Smijiw Raion , to which the villages of Datschne ( Дачне , ⊙ ) with around 120 inhabitants, Sanky ( Занки , ⊙ ) with around 60 inhabitants, Kurortne ( Курортне , ⊙ ) with about 300 inhabitants and Ukrajinske ( Українське , ⊙ ) with about 220 inhabitants belong.
Heniyivka is located 2 km upstream from the village of Scheludkivka , on the left bank of the 32 km long Hnylyzja ІІІ ( Гнилиця III ), which flows 5 km downstream from the left into the Siversky Donets . The Smiyiv district center is 20 km west and the Kharkiv oblast center 55 km north of the village.
