Henri Mondor
Henri Jean Justin Mondor (born May 20, 1885 in Saint-Cernin , Cantal department , † April 6, 1962 in Neuilly-sur-Seine , Hauts-de-Seine department ) was a French surgeon and literary historian . He was a member of the Académie française and Grand Officier de la Légion d'Honneur , among others .
Life
The son of a primary school teacher attended the Lycée Emile Duclaux in Aurillac . In 1961 he became a member of the Académie des Sciences .

Henri Mondor is the namesake of the CHU Henri Mondor University Hospital in Créteil , the Center hospitalier Henri Mondor in Aurillac and a square of the same name on Boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris , which is located in front of the University of Réne Descartes with its medical faculty ( L'École de Médecine ) is.
