Henri Simon

Henri Simon (born October 27, 1868 in Grandson , † June 28, 1932 in Lausanne , resident in Sainte-Croix ) was a Swiss politician ( FDP ).

biography

Simon attended the École industrial in Lausanne from 1880 to 1885 and the technical center in Winterthur from 1885 to 1887 . He then worked from 1914 to 1919 as the administrator of Vautier Frères & Cie in Grandson .

He held his first political office from 1889 to 1897 in the local council (conseil communal) of Grandson . He was then from 1897 to 1919 in the local council and from 1914 to 1919 mayor of this same community. In 1897 he was elected to the Grand Council of the Canton of Vaud and had a seat there until 1919. From 1919 to 1932 he was State Councilor for the canton of Vaud , where he was head of the building department. During 27 years, from 1901 to 1928, he sat in the Council of States was, and in the Official year 1923/24 Senate President .

He was also a member of the bank council of the Waadtländer Kantonalbank from 1893 to 1931 and also had several board memberships .

In the Swiss Army , he was adjutant and judge at the military tribunal of the first division.
