Henrik Pretty

Henrik Pretty (* 1977 in Ennigerloh ) is a German journalist and since 2017 moderator of the broadcast Westpol in WDR television .

Life

Henrik Hübschen grew up in Westphalia and studied political science at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster , where he began his journalistic career as a sports reporter for local radio .

After completing his traineeship at Deutsche Welle in Bonn and Berlin , Hübschen first worked as a freelancer for the WDR TV show Westpol for a short time in 2004 , before moving to Brussels as an EU and France correspondent for Deutsche Welle from 2006 to 2009 .

Since 2009 he has been an editor at the WDR regional studio in Düsseldorf , but has also worked as a travel correspondent for the Tagesschau and the ARD morning magazine in Washington , Kiev and Paris . Since May 2015, Hübschen has been presenting the “NRW Trend” (a state political opinion) at Westpol and is the “numbers man” for voting results and projections on election broadcasts on WDR.

As a representative in the Berlin ARD capital studio, he accompanied the national political events for the current hour for eight months in 2016 and gained his first experience as a presenter on the talk show "Eins zu Eins" . Since January 2017 he has been an integral part of the moderation team at Westpol.

Henrik Hübschen lives in Düsseldorf .
