Henrik Lund (engineering scientist)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Henrik Lund (* 1960 in Aalborg ) is a Danish engineering scientist and professor at Aalborg University . His main research interests are energy system analysis , feasibility studies as well as state regulation and technological change, especially in the field of sustainable energy systems , energy transition and renewable energies . Lund is the editor of the scientific journal Energy and is listed by Thomson Reuters as a Highly Cited Researcher in the engineering category, making him one of the most respected scientists in the world in his field. Its h-index was 43 according to Web of Knowledge in October 2017 and 47 according to Scopus .

academic career

Lund studied engineering at Aalborg University and graduated with a Master of Science degree in 1985 . After studying for a doctorate in Aalborg and a stay at the Imperial College of Science and Technology at the University of London , he obtained his Ph.D. in 1990 in Aalborg for a thesis on the implementation of sustainable energy systems. In 2009 he received his doctorate again about "Choice awareness and Renewable Energy Systems" for Dr. techn.

After employment as a research fellow and doctoral student from 1985 to 1990, Lund, after successfully completing his doctorate in 1990, was initially assistant professor and in 1993 associate professor at Aalborg University. In 2006 he was finally given his own chair , which he still holds today. In parallel to this academic career, he also held various positions in business and various organizations in the environmental and energy sectors.

Activities in specialist journals

Lund is editor of Energy magazine and co-editor of Energy Strategy Reviews and the International Journal of Energy Technology and Policy . He is also a member of the editorial board of Renewable Energy , Applied Energy and the International journal of Alternative Propulsion and has been a guest editor of various special editions in several magazines. He works as a reviewer for various magazines, including a. for Energy Policy , Applied Thermal Engineering , the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, and the Journal of Cleaner Production .

Works

By 2011 Lund had published around 70 publications in peer-reviewed international journals, plus around 40 conference papers. To this end, he has written around 40 books and reports on energy system planning as well as around 75 other articles and book chapters.
