Henry Joseph Grimmelsman (born December 22, 1890 in Cincinnati , USA , † June 26, 1972 ) was an American clergyman and bishop of Evansville .

Life

Henry Joseph Grimmelsman received on 15 August 1915, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On November 11, 1944, Pope Pius XII appointed him . to the Bishop of Evansville. The Apostolic Delegate in the United States, Archbishop Amleto Giovanni Cicognani , ordained him episcopal on December 21 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the Archbishop of Denver , Urban John Vehr , and the auxiliary bishop in Cincinnati , George John Rehring .

On October 18, 1965, Pope Paul VI. the resignation put forward by Henry Joseph Grimmelsman for reasons of age and appointed him titular bishop of Tabla .
