Francis Raymond Shea (born December 4, 1913 in Knoxville , Tennessee , USA , † August 18, 1994 ) was Bishop of Evansville .

Life

Francis Raymond Shea received on 19 March 1939, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On December 1, 1969, Pope Paul VI appointed him . to the Bishop of Evansville. The Apostolic Delegate in the United States, Archbishop Luigi Raimondi , donated him episcopal ordination on February 3, 1970 ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Indianapolis , George Joseph Biskup , and the Bishop of Nashville , Joseph Aloysius Durick .

On March 11, 1989, Pope John Paul II accepted Francis Raymond Shea's resignation due to reasons of age.
