Herbert Koch (physician)

Herbert Koch (born July 5, 1882 in Rodaun near Vienna, † April 18, 1968 in Vienna ) was an Austrian pediatrician.

Life

Koch studied medicine at the University of Vienna . He became active in the Corps Saxonia Vienna in 1901 and distinguished himself as a sub- senior and twice as a senior . In 1906 he was promoted to Dr. med. PhD. From October 1, 1911 he worked at the Vienna University Children's Hospital. After taking part in the First World War from July 1915 to 1918 , he returned to the Vienna clinic. On March 9, 1921 , he qualified as a professor for pediatrics . On July 5, 1933, he was appointed a titled (unpaid) associate professor . The Academic Corps Teutonia in Grazawarded him the ribbon in the same year . The University of Graz (the Medical Faculty spun off as the Medical University of Graz on January 1, 2004 ) appointed him on July 1, 1935 as a salaried associate professor and head of the children's clinic. In April (or June) 1940 he became a member of the NSDAP ( membership number 7.642.735). Since March 1, 1943 o. Professor , he was born on July 31, 1946 emeritus . In 1950 he received the ribbon of the Corps Joannea .
