Herbert Missalla

Herbert Missalla (born June 5, 1935 in Kerkrade ) is a former German middle -distance runner who specialized in the 800-meter distance .

At the European Athletics Championships in Stockholm in 1958 , he finished sixth, and at the European Indoor Games in Dortmund in 1966 , he won bronze.

In 1957 , 1958 and 1962 he was third in the German championships. In 1966 he was German runner-up in the hall.

Herbert Missalla started for SV Bayer 04 Leverkusen . From 1970 to 1995 he was the managing director of TSV Bayer Dormagen . As a trainer he looked after Rita Wilden and Elke Barth as well as the DLV sprint junior selection .
