Herbert Neupert

Herbert Neupert (born February 4, 1911 in Greiz ; † February 3, 2002 in Bad Godesberg ) was a German traffic expert and corporation functionary.

Life

Neupert attended elementary school in Greiz and Gera and the Rutheneum high school in Gera. After graduating from high school (1929), he studied law in Bonn, Munich and Jena. In 1934 he passed the first state examination in law and in 1937 the second. He received his doctorate from the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena with a thesis on the Reich Animal Protection Act. In 1937 Neupert became an assessor at the public prosecutor's office in Altenburg . He later joined the Reich Ministry of Economics . From 1943 he served in the Wehrmacht . In 1950 he was commissioned by the Berlin Chamber of Commerce to set up the foreign trade department and the export office of the Berlin sales organization. In 1951 he received a lectureship on the basics and technology of export at the TU Berlin . In the same year Neupert moved to the maritime transport department of the Federal Ministry of Transport in Hamburg, where he took over the management of the See 6 unit for international maritime relations and shipping business. In this function he was involved in the conclusion of numerous bilateral shipping agreements and represented the Federal Republic in international shipping committees. From 1965 he was the representative of the head of the Department of General Transport Policy and Economics in the Federal Ministry of Transport in Bonn, where he was head of the International Relations in Transport and Development Aid department . From 1969 until his retirement (1973) he was head of the general department and, as ministerial director, headed the work on the so-called liver plan . After his retirement, Neupert worked as a lawyer in Bonn until 1985 .

In addition to his work in the ministry, Neupert was from 1969 chairman of the administrative board of the Studiengesellschaft Nahverkehr mbH (SNV) in Hamburg and chairman of the advisory board of the study company for combined transport (SGKV). 1973–1984 he was chairman of the scientific advisory board of the SNV and 1973–1978 chairman of the board of the SGKV. In 1969 he also became a member of the supervisory board of HSB-Hochleistungsschnellbahn Studiengesellschaft mbH in Ottobrunn and in 1979 deputy chairman of the extended tariff commission for general goods transport (ETKN). In 1974 he received the Great Federal Cross of Merit .

Corps student

Neupert had been a member of the Corps Transrhenania Munich since 1929 . In 1986 he also became a member of the Corps Ratisbonia Munich and the Corps Budissa , which was relocated to Passau . From 1975 to 1986 he was a representative of the Association of Old Corps Students on the Advisory Board of the Association for Student Dormitories. V. (Bonn). He has written numerous articles on the history of students, including for the magazine Convent published by the Convent of German Academic Associations (CDA) . In 1992 he was awarded the Fabricius Medal of the CDA. Neupert's corps student estate is in the Kösener archive in the Institute for Higher Education at the University of Würzburg (inventory N 10).
