The Herchenhainer Höhe is the fourth highest mountain in Vogelsberg , Hesse , Germany at 733 m .
The mountain lies within the limits of the municipality of Grebenhain immediately north-northeast of Herchenhain and represents the southernmost mountain in the Oberwald . There is a small ski area on the slopes of the Herchenhainer Höhe . From the summit of the mountain, over which part of the Rhine-Weser watershed runs, the view extends from Dreistelzberg in the southeast over the Spessart in the south to the Odenwald and even the Donnersberg in the southwest. In the west, the view extends over the Wetterau to the Großer Feldberg and the Pferdskopf in the Taunus . The Dünsberg can be seen in the northwest .
The Lüder rises just south of the Herchenhainer Höhe .
