From 1978 on she took over lectures in the form of "practical school exercises" on behalf of the Innsbruck Theological Faculty, and from 1981 she worked there as a "contract teacher in the university service" in the field of catechetics and religious education.

From 1984 she taught as a full university professor at the then newly established Chair for Catechetics and Catholic Religious Education in Innsbruck, and from 1984 she was the director of the newly established Institute for Catechetics and Religious Education.

From 1989 to 1993 until she was dean of the theological faculty in Innsbruck.
