Herman Schultz
Per Magnus Herman Schultz (born July 7, 1823 in Nykvarn , Södermanland , † May 8, 1890 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish astronomer .
Life
In 1878 he became professor of astronomy at Uppsala University and director of the Uppsala observatory . He discovered 13 objects in the NGC catalog . Schultz became a member of the Royal Society of Sciences in Uppsala in 1873 and a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in 1875 .
In 1860 he married Charlotte Klara Amalie Steinheil (born April 26, 1841), a daughter of the astronomer Carl August von Steinheil .
