Hermann (Carinthia)
Hermann (Hermann II.) († October 4, 1181 ) from the Spanheim family was Duke of Carinthia from 1161 to 1181.
Live and act
Hermann was the younger son of Duke Ulrich I and Judith, daughter of Margrave Hermann II of Baden .
After the death of his brother Heinrich in 1161, he followed in the Carinthian ducal office . He took over the bailiwick over Gurk , acquired the bailiwick over the Bamberg estates in Carinthia and fought over the bailiwick over Tiffen and meetings from the Patriarch of Aquileia . He had arguments with Margrave Ottokar III. von Styria for the inheritance of great-uncle Bernhard von Trixen and with the Heunburgers and Ortenburgers for dominance in the country.
Duke Hermann died in 1181 and was succeeded by his son Ulrich .

Hermann was with Agnes († 1182), the daughter of Duke Heinrich II. , Widow after Stephan III. of Hungary . From this marriage grew:
