Hermann Aumer (politician)

Hermann Walter Aumer , also Hermann Walther Aumer (born April 30, 1915 in Munich ; † May 30, 1955 ibid) was a German politician.

Life

Aumer's father was also called Hermann; he was born in 1889, later was Vice President of the Munich Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Consul General . Aumer attended elementary school, secondary school , commercial college in Munich and then did a banking apprenticeship . This was followed by several years of work in the banking house Gebrüder Arnhold in Berlin and in the Reichskreditgesellschaft in Berlin. From 1940 to 1945 he held a managerial position at Diamalt AG in Munich . In 1942 he became Romanian Vice Consul in Munich.

From October 26, 1945, Aumer was State Commissioner for reparation issues in Bavaria . After his impeachment by the American military government in August 1946 because of irregularities, he worked as a bookseller. He was a board member of the German Peace Society . Originally a member of the SPD , he switched to the Bavarian Party in 1947 .

From 1949 to 1953 Aumer was a member of the German Bundestag for the constituency of Ingolstadt for one electoral term . There he initially represented the Bavarian party ; after being expelled from the party in June 1950, he was a non-attached MP from September 8, 1950 . After the committee of inquiry into the capital question (the so-called mirror committee ) had determined that Aumer's parliamentary activities had been influenced by payments from the oil industry, he was asked to resign in June 1951, but he refused. In 1952 the Bundestag lifted Aumer's immunity .
