Diamalt factory premises

Allach-Untermenzing

The former Diamalt factory site in the Allach-Untermenzing district of Munich covers an area of over eight hectares and was used until around 1994. Some of the factory buildings that still exist today, such as the Diamalt tower and the boiler house, are listed buildings. So far, the site and the remaining buildings have not been used. It was planned to use a hardware store for the undeveloped areas of the factory premises. The lease that had already been signed, however, was terminated in 2005 because the planning department had delayed the preparation of the development plan.

The owner of the site in 2009 was DCM Real Estate Management GmbH, which among other things planned the renovation of the listed building for later use as office and commercial properties.

In mid-2002 the villa in the northwest of the site was made habitable again; Like the fountain in the surrounding wall, it is a listed building. The boiler house was sold in early 2010; It was renovated in 2012 and has served as a residential and commercial building since 2014.

A resolution by the city council to use the site for residential purposes was passed.

From 2018 it was planned to build 680 new apartments by ISARIA Wohnbau and Münchenbau, the boiler house will be retained. The area is offered as a diamond park .

Hall

The main factory building was demolished in 2005 and the listed factory owner's villa was renovated. In the villa and on the former company premises there has been a dog competence center with an attached dog boarding school, dog school and veterinarian since 2018 .
