Hermann Diesener
Hermann Diesener (born December 9, 1900 in Breslau , † September 13, 1978 in Bamberg ) was a German metal sculptor .
Life
After completing secondary and secondary school, he completed an apprenticeship as a chaser from 1919 to 1923 . He passed the assistant examination as well as the master craftsman examination with distinction in 1927. From 1920 to 1930 he received his artistic training at the State Academy of Arts and Crafts in Wroclaw. There he was a student of Johannes Molzahn . From 1930 to 1938 he worked as a freelance metal sculptor. As an opponent of the National Socialists, he was persecuted and relieved of his teaching post at the master school.
In 1942 Diesener was drafted into the Wehrmacht . In 1943 he married Ingeborg Bauer. A son and a daughter result from the marriage. He was taken prisoner of war, from which he was released in 1945. Until his death on September 13, 1978, Hermann Diesener lived and worked with his family in Bamberg. There he worked as a goldsmith and metal sculptor and led the metal class at the local adult education center for many years.
Works
- The works of this man include the characters from the city's history of the Essen Glockenspiel at the Deiterhaus.
- Diesener designed in the 1950s, a draft Eichendorf - commemorative coin . The decision was made in favor of a design by the artist Karl Roth , although the Eichendorff Foundation, as the initiator of the commemorative coin, had preferred the design from Denier.
- He designed the siling ring ; it contains a dark green nephrite from Silesia set in gold and silver , in which the Silesian eagle was engraved. The ring bears the word " Siling ". The siling ring received u. a .:

Exhibitions
- In 1968 the Nassau Art Association in Wiesbaden showed works by this artist in the exhibition Artists from Silesia .
- Two years after Denier's death, an exhibition was dedicated to him in 1980 in the Neue Residenz in Bamberg, the city's state gallery. Bamberg's cultural department issued a publication on this.
