Hermann Feusi

Hermann Feusi (born December 5, 1906 in Glarus ; † April 3, 1988 there ; entitled to live in Feusisberg and Glarus) was a Swiss politician ( FDP ).

He was the son of an innkeeper and learned to be a farmer . As such, he managed the agricultural operation of the old people's asylum in the municipality of Glarus. In the military he was a colonel . From 1944 to 1978 he was a member of the Glarus municipal council . From 1959 to 1978 he also served as alpine overseer and president of the community appraisal commission . He had other mandates from 1944 to 1950 in the district administrator of the Canton of Glarus and from 1947 to 1950 as a civil judge . In 1950 he was elected to the government council. He oversaw the welfare, military and agricultural directorates. During his term of office, the peasant class was promoted with amelioration and development works, the establishment and expansion of the cantonal civil protection organization and the construction of the canton hospital. From 1956 to 1962 he was state governor and 1962-1968 Landammann the canton of Glarus.
