Hermann Hassenkamp
Clemens Joseph August Hermann Hassenkamp (born November 5, 1857 in Münster , † November 20, 1933 in Aschendorf ) was a German administrative lawyer and politician .
Hassenkamp was the son of a manufacturer. He attended the Paulinum in Münster and passed his Abitur there. He then studied at the Bauakademie in Berlin and then law in Berlin and Munich. He completed his preparatory service in Münster and then worked for the government in Bromberg . From 1889 to 1923 he was district administrator in the Aschendorf district and was promoted to the secret government council. His cousin Georg Behnes was his successor as district administrator . From 1890 to 1903 he was chairman of the Aschendorf Agricultural Association. After the November Revolution, he ignored the local workers' councils and thus incurred the displeasure of the SPD . However, the SPD's demand to replace him was unsuccessful.
From 1891 to September 1, 1919 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Hanover . His successor was Karl Wolters .
In 1924 he suggested the establishment of the Aschendorf Heimatbund.
