Hermann von Bloedau

Hermann von Bloedau (born December 5, 1853 in Sondershausen , † February 28, 1927 in Priefel near Altenburg ) was an officer, manor owner and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Bloedau was the son of a secret medical councilor and his wife Jeanette, née von Kauffberg. He attended secondary school and grammar school in Sondershausen as well as the Roßleben monastery school

On March 26, 1873 Bloedau joined the 7th Thuringian Infantry Regiment No. 96 of the Prussian Army as an officer candidate . After attending the Engers War School , he was promoted to secondary lieutenant in mid-October 1874 . For further training he graduated from the War Academy in 1877/80 and was commanded from November 1880 to May 1881 as orderly officer of the Duke of Saxony-Altenburg . From January 1882 Bloedau was a battalion adjutant and rose to regimental adjutant in April 1884. In this position he was promoted to prime lieutenant in mid-March 1885 . On July 14, 1885 Bloedau was position à la suite initially leave his regiment for a year and then with the permission to wear the army uniform adopted .

From 1888 he worked as a practical farmer on Ehrenberg . He was also chairman of the regional association of military and war associations of the Duchy of Saxony-Altenburg, chairman of the agricultural association of Altenburg and the central committee of the agricultural associations of the duchy. He was also a delegate to the German Agriculture Council and a member of the state parliament for the Saxon-Altenburg countryside.

From 1898 to 1903 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Duchy of Saxony-Altenburg 1 ( Altenburg , Roda ) and the Federation of Farmers .

The district administrator and member of the state parliament Curt von Bloedau was his nephew.
