The Herz-Jesu-Kirche is a Catholic parish church in Halle in East Westphalia in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany . The church belongs to the Stockkämpen pastoral group in the Archdiocese of Paderborn .
The church was built in 1908/09 in neo-Gothic style and has about 250 seats. The outer walls of the church are made of quarry stone masonry. The tower has a pointed spire and flanking turrets.
history
In March 1902 it became known that the deeply religious Countess Julia von Korff called Schmising-Kerssenbrock (1837–1907) had made a testamentary donation of 60,000 crowns for the construction of a Catholic church in Halle. On December 20, 1907, the new building was approved by the Minister for Spiritual Affairs . The foundation stone was laid on July 19, 1908. The building was built according to plans by Arnold Güldenpfennig . The church consecration took place on November 14, 1909. To thank the donor, she was buried in the nave of the church in front of the choir .
The church was renovated around 2000.
organ
The organ from 1980 was replaced in 2006 by a new instrument from Jäger & Brommer from Waldkirch . The new instrument is the French-style symphonic scheduled , with the great swell the function of a main plant has. The instrument has a total of 21 stops on two manuals . The pedal registers are derived from the main work via transmissions . The 1st manual is a coupling manual .
