Hessisches Immobilienmanagement (HI) was a state enterprise of the federal state of Hesse . Since 2001 he has performed the duties of the former property management and was subordinate to the supervision of the Hessian Ministry of Finance . The headquarters of the state operations were in Wiesbaden . There were branches in Frankfurt am Main , Darmstadt , Kassel , Gießen , Fulda and Wiesbaden as well as an administrative office in Marburg . The HI employed a total of around 1250 people.

The tasks included the administration, management , construction maintenance (in cooperation with the Landesbetrieb Hessisches Baumanagement ), renting, leasing as well as the development and sale of state-owned land and buildings as well as the administration of rented buildings which are operated by state departments (including Courts, police, tax offices and other authorities) were used. The buildings managed and leased by the HI also included castles and palaces, such as the Sababurg and Spangenberg Castle in Northern Hesse or Hirschhorn and Lichtenberg Castle in the Odenwald , as well as the state-owned port facilities on the Rhine in Gernsheim , Trebur and Riedstadt- Erfelden. In addition, the HI developed projects in public-private partnerships, such as the financial center on Kassel Altmarkt or the justice and administration center in Wiesbaden.

On January 1, 2016, the HI was merged with the State Office for Construction and Real Estate Hessen .
