Location of Heugrumbach in Bavaria

Heugrumbach is a district of the town of Arnstein in the Lower Franconian district of Main-Spessart .

Geographical location

Heugrumbach is located at the foot of the Höhberg in the valley of the Wern , directly west of Arnstein. The Krebsbach, a right tributary of the Wern, flows west of the old town. There is an industrial park further to the west. As a result of a settlement on the slope of the Höhberg mountain that emerged from the 1950s, the place has merged with the Arnstein suburb of Bettendorf.

The federal highway 26 running through the village leads west to Reuchelheim and east to Arnstein. From this the state road St 2294 branches off northwards to Büchold .

history

The first known mention of Heugrumbach comes from the year 848. Grave finds indicate settlements around the place as early as the first centuries AD.

On July 1, 1974, Heugrumbach became part of Arnstein as part of the municipal reform .
