Neubessingen is the northernmost district of the town of Arnstein in the Lower Franconian district of Main-Spessart .

The street village is 8 km north of Arnstein, on the MSP 2 county road . It is the smallest part of the city of Arnstein. The next larger city is Schweinfurt, 18 km away .

history
Neubessingen was founded in 1694 as a clearing village . On September 24th of that year, the Würzburg prince-bishop Johann Gottfried von Guttenberg handed over the Hochstiftischen forest near Altbessingen to a group of farmers willing to clear the land for the construction of a new village.
On July 1, 1974, the previously independent community was incorporated into the city of Arnstein.
