Characters

main characters

Yuno ( ゆ の )
Yuno, sometimes called "Yunocchi" by Miyako, is the main character in the story. She has quite short, light brown hair that almost reaches her shoulders. She is also the smallest of the six girls, which is the subject of some jokes. Together with her friends Miyako, Hiro and Sae, Yuno lives in Hidamari-sō. She is a very nice, kind person. Her biggest dream is to be a famous artist one day. She almost always wears two cross-shaped black hairpins, which she almost never takes off.

Miyako ( 宮 子 )
Miyako is Yuno's best friend, classmate, and neighbor. She has blonde, almost yellow hair and yellow eyes. Her older brother is a gardener, who was also responsible for cutting her hair before she discovered the “Olive” hair salon. Yuno regularly calls Miyako "Miya-chan". She has an active personality and tries to have fun with her friends in every situation. Miyako is also very spontaneous; according to her own statement, the word “planning” does not exist in her dictionary. Miyako loves to eat and often asks Hiro about their leftovers when Hiro is on a diet. Sometimes she points out that Hiro could gain weight, which she doesn't like to hear, and usually gives Miyako a slap on the head. Since Miyako's apartment is in poor condition, her rent is 5,000 yen less than the other girls'. Since she has little money, this is an advantage for her.
