coat of arms

Blazon : "In green a silver , with crucifix and transcription -provided Denkstein , accompanied by two silver cross stones ." | |
Foundation of the coat of arms: The five medieval cross and memorial stones on the road from Hiddestorf to Pattensen, which are surrounded by legends and stories and were dug up again years ago and set up again at the location shown in an old map from 1780, were used as special feature of the place to the council of the municipality, which decided to secure it for all time and to raise it to the appropriate place in the municipality coat of arms. In the middle of the green shield is the memorial stone adorned with a crucifix, on which the year MCCCXCV (1395) can be seen in the circumferential lettering in Gothic capitals , accompanied by two Gothic cross stones on the left and right, all stones in silver. The stones have recently been given a new place at the St. Nikolai Church. |
