Lauvhaug, who started for Lyn Ski, took part in the Nordic Scandinavian Cup for the first time in January 2007 in Sjusjøen . She achieved 60th place in the 10 km mass start race and 24th place over 5 km freestyle. She made her debut in the cross-country skiing world cup in November 2007 in Beitostølen , which she finished in 29th place over 10 km freestyle and thus won her first world cup points. At the Junior World Championships in 2008 in Mals , she was fifth in the 10 km mass start race. In the following year she won the bronze medal in the 5 km freestyle and the gold medal with the relay at the Junior World Championships . At the U23 World Championships in 2010 in Hinterzarten , she won the silver medal in the skiathlon . In the 2010/11 season she came in the Scandinavian Cup four times in the top ten. She won her first and only victory in the Scandinavian Cup in Madona over 10 km freestyle. In addition, she won third place in the 10 km mass start race in Torsby and reached fifth place in the overall standings at the end of the season. At the U23 World Championships in 2011 in Otepää , she won the bronze medal in the 10 km freestyle and also finished 13th in the skiathlon. In November 2011 she won World Cup points for the last time in Sjusjøen with 22nd place over 10 km freestyle. This was also her best placement in the individual World Cup. She ran her last international race in January 2014 at the Cross-Country Scandinavian Cup in Piteå , which she finished classically in 42nd place over 10 km.
