Hildebrando Mendes Costa

Hildebrando Mendes Costa (born June 16, 1926 in Orizona ) is a Brazilian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Estância .

Life

Hildebrando Mendes Costa was ordained a priest on December 2, 1951 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him on March 15, 1981 titular bishop of Arindela and auxiliary bishop in Aracajú . The Bishop of Penedo , Constantino José Lüers, OFM , donated him episcopal ordination on October 29 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Luciano José Cabral Duarte , Archbishop of Aracajú, and Miguel Fenelon Câmara Filho , Archbishop of Maceió .

On March 25, 1986, he was appointed Bishop of Estância. On April 30, 2003, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
