Hiroyuki Horibata

Hiroyuki Horibata ( Japanese 堀 端 宏 行 , Horibata Hiroyuki ; born October 28, 1986 ) is a Japanese marathon runner .

On his debut, he finished ninth in the 2008 Tokyo Marathon . After two disappointing years with a 22nd place in Tokyo in 2009 and a 20th place at the Hokkaidō Marathon 2010, he qualified in 2011 with a third place at the Lake Biwa Marathon for the World Athletics Championships in Daegu . There he finished seventh, making him the fastest runner in the Japanese team that won the silver medal in the World Cup.

Hiroyuki Horibata is 1.89 m tall and weighs 68 kg. He comes from Yatsushiro and starts for Asahi Kasei's corporate team . The athlete who lives in Nobeoka is trained by Takeshi Sō .
