Hirschroda is a district of the municipality of Balgstädt in the Burgenland district in Saxony-Anhalt .

Hirschroda is located between Halle (Saale) and Weimar on the foothills of the Finns .

history

The place was first mentioned in 1206 as Heroldisroda .

On July 1, 2009, the formerly independent community Hirschroda was incorporated into Balgstädt.

The last honorary mayor was Liane Prömper, who was elected on June 12, 1994.

Blazon : "In green, a silver stag striding to the left on a silver shield base covered with two green oak leaves with acorns." (Note: In heraldry, lateral directions are mirror-inverted.)

The coat of arms refers to an earlier seal showing a deer, as well as to the natural environment of the community with a high oak population. It was designed in 2006 by the municipal heraldist Jörg Mantzsch and brought into the approval process. The colors of the place are white-green.
