The Hoeksche Waard is a Dutch island located in South Holland about 25 kilometers long and 14 kilometers wide, which was created in the mouth of the Maas between Oude Maas , Hollands Diep , Dordtsche Kil and Spui .
The largest place on the agrarian island is Oud-Beijerland , the other municipalities are Binnenmaas , Cromstrijen , Korendijk and Strijen , which merged in 2019 to form a new larger municipality called Hoeksche Waard .
