Hope is the peasantry a district of Esenshamm in the town of Nordenham in Wesermarsch .
history
The noble Stiedtenkron estate as well as the Kleineweser, Kuhweg, Buschstelle, Großensiel I and Stiedtenkrug belong to the Hoffe farming community. Hope lies on the Little Weser, it was probably created in the High Middle Ages . The first mention, however, is only in 1626. In the Deichatlast by Johann Conrad Musculus , “Zur Hoffe” appears in 1625/26. Here it is shown with a large double building and five smaller houses. A farmer's letter from Hoffe is handed down from 1673. In 1618 a school was founded in Hoffe, and in 1822 a larger house was purchased for the school. The school was closed in 1933.
