history

From the 1st century BC A settlement on a Wurt in Grebswarden can be proven.

In the Middle Ages the Wurtendorf Grebswarden belonged to the parish of Blexen . In 1933 the municipality of Blexen was added to the city of Nordenham, and Phiesewarden became a district of Nordenham.

During the Second World War, there was a flak position on today's THW site to protect against bomber attacks.

The Jedutenhügel is said to have existed since the first settlement. After the First World War , a war memorial was erected there.
