Only a little below the summit is a transmitter for the Südwestrundfunk, which used to supply large parts of the southern Palatinate and Wasgau with analog television and was switched off when the DVB-T switch was made. Radio stations were also planned here to supply this area with the Rhineland-Palatinate programs SWR1 Rhineland-Palatinate and SWR4 Rhineland-Palatinate , which otherwise cannot be received in the region, but this did not materialize.
