Holger Juul Hansen
Holger Juul Hansen (born August 14, 1924 in Nyborg , † March 19, 2013 in Copenhagen ) was a Danish actor .
Life
Holger Juul Hansen initially completed a commercial apprenticeship in Copenhagen from 1939 to 1946 . He took lessons from Eyvind Johan-Svendsen and then received his acting training from 1946 to 1948. He made his debut at the Ny Teater . After first engagements in Aalborg (1948 to 1951) and Odense (1951 to 1953), he returned to Copenhagen in 1953, where he played at the Allé-Scenen from 1953 to 1956 . After various short engagements at the Folketeatret and the Frederiksberg Teater , among others , he was engaged at the Ny Teater from 1957 to 1959. He then belonged to the Royal Theater ensemble for more than 25 years, from 1961 to 1987 - interrupted only by one season in 1976/77 at Aveny Teatret . At the Royal Theater he played, among others, the Higgins in My Fair Lady or the Argan in The Imaginary Ill .
Since 1947, Holger Juul Hansen also played numerous roles in film and later on television. He was seen in three Olsen Gang films: as driving instructor Larsen in Die Olsenbande strikes again (although he was dubbed by Rolf Herricht at DEFA ) and as Hallandsen in Die Olsenbande flies over the plank and Die Olsenbande flies over all mountains . His most famous role on Danish television was that of bank director Hans Christian Varnæs in the television series Matador . 1994 and 1997, he starred in two seasons of Lars von Trier's Hospital of spirits to Einar Moersgaard , which he respectively in the following year with the Bodil was honored.
From 1952 Hansen was married to the actress Else Marie Hansen , who was 20 years his senior . After the divorce in 1965, he married the solo dancer Inge Olafsen (* 1945) that same year.
Holger Juul Hansen died on March 19, 2013 at the age of 88.
