Holger Kiesel

Holger Kiesel (born May 16, 1974 in Straubing ) is a German journalist , radio presenter , cabaret artist and representative of the Bavarian State Government for the interests of people with disabilities.

Life

Between 1981 and 1987 Kiesel visited the Pater-Rupert-Mayer Center in Regensburg . He then switched to the humanistic Johannes Turmair high school in Straubing and graduated from high school in 1996. He then studied German , history and political science at the University of Regensburg and graduated in 2001 with a master's degree . In 2000 he joined the SPD .

In 2001 he began an internship at Bayerischer Rundfunk in Munich . In September 2002, he did a journalistic traineeship at Bayerischer Rundfunk. From 2004 to 2018 he was a permanent freelancer at Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation and currently had his own program on people with disabilities to be editorially responsible for B5 . He also worked for Notebook and Das Tageskurs in Bayern 2 .

In October 2011 he invented the cabaret character Robert Rollinger with whom he also appears in the show Notebook.

On December 18, 2018, the Bavarian Minister of Social Affairs, Kerstin Schreyer , announced that Kiesel would succeed Irmgard Badura as the representative of the Bavarian State Government for the interests of people with disabilities.
