Holger Ponik (born April 22, 1969 in Hamburg ) is a German radio presenter .

Life

Holger Ponik grew up in his hometown and studied applied cultural studies at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg until 2001 . The former stadium announcer for Hamburger SV began his radio activity as a volunteer at Radio Hamburg , where he hosted a dome show, among other things. He then switched to Norddeutscher Rundfunk , where he and Ilka Petersen presented the program Ponik & Petersen - Der NDR 2 Morgen from 2007 to 2019, which was broadcast from Monday to Friday from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. This format was awarded the German Radio Prize in 2012 in the Best Morning Show category.

Even as a child, Ponik received piano and singing lessons from the Dutch opera singer Arnold van Mill and published two songs he wrote and produced himself with Farben and An Your Side . In the computer animation film Gnomeo and Julia he dubbed the British actor Stephen Merchant , who in the original version plays the role of Paris . In 2009 Ponik appeared in the game show Who saw it? with and twice (2008 and 2012) was a guest on the NDR talk show DAS! .

Holger Ponik lives in Reinbek and is the father of a daughter and a son who are both adults.
