Ilka Petersen

Ilka Petersen (born May 22, 1977 in Bassum , Lower Saxony ) is a German radio and television presenter . In 2012 she won the German Radio Prize .

Life and work

After graduating from high school , Petersen initially worked as a purserette at Deutsche Lufthansa before completing an internship at Radio Wir von hier (now Energy Bremen ). She completed her subsequent studies in journalism with a focus on economics in Bremen and India . In her diploma thesis she dealt with the topic of pre- and post-operative care for reporters in war and crisis regions.

At the private radio broadcaster Energy Bremen , she represented the morning show alongside her studies and regularly moderated Saturday mornings. After completing her studies, she first moderated at Antenne Niedersachsen and then at NDR 2 . From 2007 to 2019 she hosted the show Ponik & Petersen - Der NDR 2 Morgen together with Holger Ponik .

At NDR television, Petersen took part in programs like Echt was los in… , Hand in Hand for Northern Germany or quiz shows like the Super Animal Quiz . She is also a regular co-host of the NDR program Bingo! . She has been part of the moderation team for the television magazine Mein Afternoon since 2020 .

Ilka Petersen is married and has one son.

In 2012 Ilka Petersen received the German Radio Prize.
