With 9,487 inhabitants (November 22, 2017), Hollage is the largest district of the municipality of Wallenhorst in the district of Osnabrück in Lower Saxony .

It borders on the surrounding districts of Lechtingen and Wallenhorst , and to the south on the Pye district of the city of Osnabrück . In the west joins the Steinfurt district , which already belongs to North Rhine-Westphalia . In the north of Hollage is the town of Bramsche with the district of Pente.

Hollage is located on the western foothills of the Wiehengebirge at 54 meters above sea level and is located in the nature and geopark TERRA.vita . The south of the district borders on the Piesberg .

The Hollage sports club "Blau Weiß Hollage" was founded in 1934. The club offers several sports u. a. Football, athletics, table tennis, volleyball, basketball and judo. The first men in the football department currently play in the district league, the first women in the major league, the U19 in the regional league, U17 and U15 in the district league.

On July 1, 1972, Hollage was incorporated into the municipality of Wallenhorst.

Blazon : A red brickworks can be seen in gold over blue wavy beams, consisting of two unequal height, smoking chimneys on a three-tiered brick base with a black tunnel entrance.

The community lies on the river Hase or the branch canal Osnabrück (blue wave bar). The brick factory is characteristic of the Hollages townscape.

Local transport

A total of five bus routes run to and from Hollage, three of which are regular and one is a public bus. These are listed below:

- Line 581: from Hollage industrial park via Hollage center to Pye; from here integrated into the Osnabrück city bus network as line 81 or 82 to Voxtrup

- Line 582 (only on working days): in Osnabrück like the 581 (without the Pye – Moorweg stop), from Hollage-Zentrum like the 584 to Wallenhorst, Rathausallee

- Line 584: as a regional bus line from Hollage-Zentrum via Hollage-Ost, Wallenhorst (via Talstraße and Pingelstrang) and Lechtingen to Osnabrück main station

- Line 511 (only on school days): morning and noon individual connections from Hollage-Iserfeld to Wallenhorst-Schulzentrum and Evinghausen

- Line 515 (Mon - Fri only): as a citizen bus from the Wersener Rathaus, via Hollage-Zentrum, Hollage-Brockhausen, Wallenhorst and Lechtingen to Rulle

The stop of the regional railway line Osnabrück-Vechta-Bremen , located in Lotte-Halen in North Rhine-Westphalia, can be reached via line 515 , which is served every hour in both directions by the RB 58 .
