Holly Robinson Peete (born September 18, 1964 in Philadelphia ; born Holly Elizabeth Robinson ) is an American actress .

Life and accomplishments

Robinson Peete is the daughter of screenwriter Matt Robinson ; her mother Dolores Robinson worked as a producer of television series and as an actress. Her parents moved to Los Angeles when she was 10 years old. She studied psychology and the French language at Sarah Lawrence College in Yonkers , at times she studied at the Sorbonne in Paris .

Robinson Peete made his debut as a child alongside Paul Sorvino and Brian Dennehy in the 1979 television drama Walls of Silence. From 1987 to 1991, she played one of the bigger roles in the television series 21 Jump Street - Crime Scene Classroom . She played Diana Ross in the award-winning 1992 biographical miniseries The Jacksons , in which she starred alongside Angela Bassett . For the role in the television series For Your Love , in which she appeared from 1998 to 2002, she was nominated for the Image Award in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002 . She received another nomination for the Image Award in 2006 for her role in the television series Love, Inc.

Robinson Peete has been married to former athlete Rodney Peete since 1995 . You have four children.
