At the end of the season, the zebras were relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga . Although he mostly knew how to please with wit and ideas in his missions for MSV, he was unable to play permanently in the starting line-up neither under ex-trainer Rudi Bommer nor under his successor Peter Neururer , who preferred a double-six variant based on safety therefore only came to eight other missions in the 2008/09 season , in which he scored two goals.
Therefore, he was loaned to the Brazilian second division club Figueirense FC for a year in September 2009 . There he was part of the regular team again and was able to convince, so that he was firmly committed in summer 2010. At the end of the year he was promoted to the A series with the club .
