Holowkiwka ( Ukrainian Головківка ; Russian Головковка Golowkowka ) is a village in the east of the Ukrainian Oblast Kirowohrad with 2200 inhabitants (2001).
The village is the administrative seat of the district council of the same name . From 1754 to 1759 and from 1761 to 1764 Holowkiwka belonged to the territory of the Novoslobidskyj Cossack Regiment, an administrative-territorial and military unit in Ukraine.

Holowkiwka is located in the south of the Oleksandrija district on the bank of the Beska , a tributary of the Inhulez on the border with the Petrowe district . The Oblast capital Kropywnyzkyj is 70 km to the west and the Rajon center Oleksandrija is 19 km north of the village.
In addition to Holowkiwka, the village Iwaniwka (Ukrainian Іванівка ; Russian Ивановка / Iwanowka ) belongs to the district council . ⊙
