Holowuriw ( Ukrainian Головурів ; Russian Головуров Golowurow ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast of Kiev with about 1400 inhabitants (2001).
Memorial to those who fell in the German-Soviet War
The village, first mentioned in writing in 1455, another source mentions the year 1629, was occupied by the Wehrmacht from September 20, 1941 to September 21, 1943 .
Holowuriw is the administrative center of the same name, 95.677 km² large district municipality in Boryspil district , which also includes the village Kyjliw , 14 km southwest on the Dneprufer , with about 550 inhabitants.
The village is located at an altitude of 101 m, 23 km south of the Boryspil district center and 50 km southeast of the Kiev oblast center .
