Alfred Graeff

Caspar Wilhelm Ludwig Alfred Graeff (* 20th April 1826 in Dusseldorf , † 20th October 1895 in Wiesbaden ) was a Prussian land and Government .

Life and origin

Graeff was the son of the manor owner Johann Wilhelm Graeff from Düsseldorf and his wife Magdalena Antoinette, nee Mengelberg. After attending grammar schools in Düsseldorf and Dortmund , he studied law in Bonn ( winter semester 1849/50) and Berlin (1848/51). After the auscultation examination at a higher court in 1851, he worked from November 17, 1851 at the Düsseldorf Regional Court . After he had been appointed government trainee on September 30, 1853, he first worked for the Düsseldorf government and from November 13, 1855 for the Trier government . After his state examination at the end of 1858, he became a government assistant on January 19, 1859 and continued to work for the Trier government. On September 6, 1859, he sent by Most High cabinet order (AKO) under waiver of the candidates presented, the district administrator of the district Prüm bestallt , the service commencement took place on October 8, 1859. On March 5, 1873 he was appointed Governing Council, and he to Government Breslau moved and from there again on June 15, 1877 to the Wiesbaden government , where he took up service on September 20, 1877. At his own request he was retired on April 1, 1895.

Alfred Graeff was married to Mathilde Euler (born September 28, 1829 in Trier, † November 25, 1916 in Cologne), Franz von Steinäcker's widow, in Trier since November 10, 1858 .
